Texas style Brisket

Dry Rub

Ingredients:

-5 tablespoons paprika
-3 tablespoons salt
-2 tablespoons garlic powder
-2 tablespoons onion powder
-1 tablespoon black pepper
-1 tablespoon dried parsley
-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

Directions:

-Mix all the ingredients together and apply a thorough coating to meat. And apply the rub on meat by hand
smoke the brisket for 7 hours and prepare the smoker to 225-250

BBQ Sauce:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar (or white distilled)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups tomato ketchup

Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in large saucepan. Stir well. Over medium heat, bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 60 minutes. Stir occasionally as it cooks. Store in refrigerator. Keeps for several weeks.
